The Challenge
An aerospace company needed complex thin-wall housings made of 17-4PH stainless steel with tight dimensional tolerances and certification requirements. The parts required excellent surface finish and defect-free structure.
Our Solution
We developed a precision investment casting process with optimized wax pattern design and ceramic shell system. Controlled solidification ensured consistent mechanical properties across all castings.
Results
First article inspection passed with 100% compliance to AS9102. Casting yield improved to 95%. Lead time reduced from 16 weeks to 8 weeks. NDT testing showed zero internal defects.
